Rowanbank has set up successful forest schools and outdoor learning projects in many locations throughout central Scotland, focusing particularly on areas of urban woodland that are underused and abused. By encouraging schools to use their playgrounds and local green spaces for outdoor learning, these spaces can be transformed into a resource that can be enjoyed by the whole community.

We also provide training for teachers and other outdoor learning practitioners. Whether you have access to local green spaces or are limited to an urban playground, our CPD sessions are carefully tailored to empower staff to provide inspiring outdoor learning experiences for all the children they work with.

Not only did you inspire over 600 children but also countless school staff, helpers and WTS/FCS staff. Feedback has been amazing with many kids and adults saying it was their best trip ever!

So many inspiring activities, stories and bonding time as a class. Capturing the imaginations of children was something special to observe.

Really inspirational and lots of useful ideas on how to turn a walk into an adventure!
— Early Years Practitioner, Nature Play
Very professional, yet in a wonderfully relaxed way. A great example of how I would hope after time to present outdoor sessions with my class.

Excellent. The best course I have attended. I would recommend and do it all again.
